"Majestic is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Alaska". Rob shared a few of the highlights from his Golden Princess / Alaska cruises when he returned home on Sunday, September 20th, promising to share more as soon as he caught up on some much needed and well deserved rest. "There were a few nights when I was performing at the Midnight Sun Campfire Party on deck 16 in the Sanctuary that the Northern Lights were the highlight of the show". With the Success of "A Hot Diamond Night!" Rob was able to perform his tribute show in the Princess theater each cruise. "The guests were amazing", Rob said. "There were encores and standing ovations at each show". Rob also mentioned that the cruise director and music manager had contacted the corporate headquarters requesting him back as a guest entertainer. "Let's Keep our fingers crossed that 2016 is the year we've worked so hard for".

After being on the Golden Princess for less than two cruises and seeing the crowds that Rob was drawing to the Grand Piazza whenever he would perform there, the cruise director of the Golden Princess requested for Rob to perform his show, "A Hot Diamond Night" in the Vista Theater with the Golden Princess Orchestra. With great success, standing-room-only crowds, encores and standing ovations, the Golden Princess cruise director has assured Rob that not only will he be performing "A Hot Diamond Night" for every cruise for the Alaska season, but will also be featured in the Farewell Variety Show at the end of each cruise. Rob says he is looking forward to this wonderful opportunity.

It's official! In late October, Rob will be flying to Spain to catch the Royal Caribbean ship, Allure of the Seas, the largest ship in the world! She is 2" longer than her sister ship, Oasis of the Seas, and features a two-deck dance hall, a theater with 1,380 seats, ice-skating rink, 7 distinct neighborhoods and 25 dining options including the first Starbucks coffee shop at sea. The Allure of the Seas will be sailing to the Caribbean to finish out the season. So, if you're looking for a fancy winter getaway, come sail with Rob on the Allure of the Seas!

Caught By The Allure Of The Seas

It was wonderful to take a little time off between contracts, play a few gigs around Nashville and just enjoy being home for awhile. Volunteering for a hospice organization while I was home, playing music for such grateful people was both humbling and gratifying at the same time and was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. And I truly hope to be able to do it again. Then, to my good fortune, I was able to meet the son of my favorite singer/songwriter, AJ Croce. Jim Croce's son. AJ was at the Franklin Theater performing his Two Generations show. His songs and his dad's songs. It was a wonderful show. But, as I say, all good things must end...and all good things must begin. It's time to join the Allure of the Seas. Come join me for some exciting Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises!
